The Job Application Log

Starting at the beginning of September 2004, I began a rather thorough job 
search.  The previous time around, it took approximately 100 applications 
to land approximately 10 phone calls, 5 interviews, and 2 job offers.  This
time around it took 85+ applications, several dozen phone conversations,
and 9 interviews, to land two decent job offers.  I actually started working 
at AccuFind, which was a fine establishment.  However, the pay rate was so
unjustifiably low, I continued to apply and interview.  Luckily, I received a
phone call from one Nancy D'Aversa of InSys Consulting.  She had
my dream job.  I interviewed and nailed it.  It was just a matter of being in
the right place at the right time.  But, doesn't everything work like that?
